Our large IT client is recognized by customers as Canada’s leading Information Technology company.

We are looking for an IT Project Manager III.

Duration: 12 months Contract

Location: Edmonton, Alberta Canada

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage a collection of small and mid-sized projects for our client.

Some of these projects, while smaller in scope are very high profile within the client organization with strict budget and timeline constraints.

This is an opportunity for someone with significant experience working with clients, writing proposals, estimating and providing Project oversight and coordination across teams.

This individual will have a strong background in applying and utilizing SDLC best practices and standards within application development projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Mandatory Skills Matrix Minimum10 years’ experience PMP certification Proven leadership skills Expertise in conflict resolution Managing project plans within Microsoft Project Server Very strong client management and relationship building skills

Have very strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with external clients, internal stakeholders, senior management and staff. These communication skills include the ability to effectively communicate to technical and non- technical individuals.

Communication style must be diplomatic, succinct, and articulate and demonstrates active listening. Analytical and strong organizational skills Thrive in a collaborative environment Project status reporting

Desirable Skills Matrix ITIL certification Experience with JIRA Issue Management software.

Application Development PM experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Create and manage project plans for multiple small and mid-sized projects concurrently Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress Align project objectives with company goals, and make sure project team is clear on objectives Lead project team meetings and set expectations for the team Lead process of issue identification and resolution Manage risk tracking process Monitor and manage scope Maintain project budgets Work multiple projects simultaneously Managing hybrid Agile projects Ensuring project deliverable quality Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors
