Our client is one of Canada’s largest integrated oil companies.  They require a Janitorial Labourer to provide general housekeeping services for their company owned apartments in Rainbow Lake, Alberta.  This would be a one year contract position.  The successful candidate must be local to the area.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration of main entrance, hallway and steps
  • Snow removal from front-walk Ice removal from front -walk
  • Daily clean and blow the exterior walkways approach to unit
  • Daily, clean horizontal surfaces, windowsills in foyer/entrance area/vestibule areas
  • Daily sweeping and wet mop of entrance, main hallway and stairs/landing
  • Ensuring vents for dryers are on the exterior
  • Wiping down of entrance door(s) and laundry room door for disinfecting purposes
  • Weekly shaking out, cleaning walk-off matts at entrances
  • Monthly ensuring windows/sidelights on door(s) for entrance into facility are cleaned once
  • Semi-Annually clean and wax vinyl flooring
  • Move-out/Move in, cleaning of individual units (Apartments and Furnished 4-Plexes/House)
  • Move-out/Move in, cleaning of individual units (Apartments and Furnished 4-Plexes/House)
  • Sweep, wet mop hard floor surface, vacuum and shampoo carpets (if applicable) Wipe interior and exterior all cabinets
  • Clean and sanitize washrooms, sweep and damp mop with germicidal solution
  • Clean and sanitize all sinks and countertops
  • Clean mirrors
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, tubs, toilet paper holders, soap holders, tub/shower enclosures
  • Clean all horizontal surfaces
  • Empty trash can and clean (if applicable)
  • Clean and wipe down toilet brush/plunger (if applicable)
  • Clean/disinfect walls and doors, including door hardware
  • Clean windows
  • Clean all appliances, including hood fans, pull units away from walls and clean behind as well
  • Clean/dust/wipe down of all furniture
  • Dry dust TV Empty trash
  • Ensure bedding has been removed and washed, folded and placed in linen closet.
  • Ensure all linens are cleaned, ironed (if applicable), folded and put away Vacuum air return grilles and vents
  • Clean bathroom fans (if applicable)
  • Clean all door jambs
  • Disinfect all light switches
  • Dust/vacuum window coverings (if applicable)
  • Dust all accessible baseboards
  • Clean table bases and chair legs
  • Clean and disinfect any stair railing/handrails/newel posts
  • Clean entrance steps, back decks (if applicable) – sweep, snow removal General Labourer and other duties Construction
  • Clean- once all trade work is complete on any type of our units it will require
  • Wipe down of all walls/hard surfaces – ensure no streaking on walls Cleaning of all windows and window sills
  • Wiping down all doors, disinfect door hardware
  • Cleaning of all appliances, including hood fans, pull away from walls and clean behind
  • Wet wipe of all counter tops and disinfect
  • Cleaning and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, tubs, showers and applicable enclosures
  • Clean both sides of glass doors/windows
  • Dust all fixtures Cleaning of mirrors
  • Sweep, wet mop all hard floors – with appropriate cleaning solution
  • Vacuum and clean carpets Disinfect all light switches Sweep and wet mop basement floor
  • Cleaning of all registers, exterior dryer vents
  • Ensure furnace and humidifier filters are changed
  • Ensure lights are all operational and burned out bulbs replaced
  • Pour water down any floor drains
  • Wipe interior and exterior all cabinets
  • Clean and sanitize all sinks
  • Clean all horizontal surfaces
  • Empty trash can and clean (if applicable)
  • Clean and wipe down toilet brush/plunger (if applicable)
  • Clean bathroom fans (if applicable)
  • Clean all door jambs Dust all accessible baseboards
  • Clean and disinfect any stair railing/handrails/newel posts
  • Clean entrance steps, back decks (if applicable) – sweep, snow removal
  • General Labourer and other duties
  • Paint trim to prep for install
  • Yard maintenance on vacant lots
  • Housing Parts Inventory tracking/ordering – in yard and in housing parts area
  • Back-up of office Admin Clean Housing Office
  • Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
  • Assist Field Lead and Corporate Manager as needed

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be local/living in Rainbow Lake
  • Experience in all aspects of Janitorial work
  • Experience handling and ability to train how to use cleaning equipment (swing machines, auto scrubbers, carpet cleaning extractors, etc.)
