Integration Specialist

Are you interested in working as part of a dynamic team that is responsible for updating computers, avionics systems, visual and various other systems on flight simulators? This position is involved in the development, integration and test phase of the communication between aircraft simulation software and interface instruments.

The integration specialist is involved on update projects and is the main point of contact for customers and engineer’s for software related issues. You will be responsible for leading and providing technical support to software engineers during the integration of their systems. This position requires travel around the world to customer sites to integrate the software solutions developed in house. You will also provide upper management with project (status, risks, etc.) updates.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Computer Sciences
  • Knowledge of C, C++ and FORTRAN programming languages and scripting languages
  • Knowledge of AIX / LINUX / Windows operating systems
  • Understanding of operating system concepts, computer architectures, aircraft simulation software and the interface with aircraft instruments
  • Software integration experience
  • Knowledge of a configuration management tool e.g. Starteam
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools used for software debugging (.NET and/or Windbg, DBX, GDB)
  • Knowledge of in house software and applications are an asset (CAELIB, STARTEAM, STRIVE framework, ACS framework, Visual Systems and SIM XXI)
  • Knowledge of simulated systems and instruments/avionics interface is an asset
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology
  • Demonstrate flexibility and strong project and assigned tasks ownership as well as ability to work and make decisions unsupervised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Result-oriented
  • Self-motivated, independent, dynamic, team player who likes challenges
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Availability to travel to customer sites (25% to 50% of the time)
  • Bilingualism in both French and English is required
