Job Purpose:

The Fleet Solutions Program Manager will lead and coordinate the implementation of systematic improvements for the most prevalent fleet-wide issues across the Wind business. Coordinate with different functions such as Engineering, Sourcing, Parts, Services, Warranty, Finance, & GPO, focusing on lowest cost & greatest business impact solutions. Maintain clear & consistent communications for ongoing fleet issues, accomplish cost avoidance, cost of quality reduction, & support vendor recovery.

  • Responsible for the program management of field quality issues for Wind
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve field quality issue resolution
  • Gather Fleet Program process inputs
  • Understand Program Scope and develop a cost benefit analysis (from inputs provided)
  • Develop the strategic plan for a program
  • Develop budget and schedule for the program and gain board approval
  • Obtain customer support for retrofit execution
  • Coordinate parts, labor and tooling to execute field retrofits
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics to measure program/project success.
  • Ensure that schedule, quality and cost follow contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations and provide documentation to customer and leadership
  • Track completion schedule and budget
  • Provide information to sourcing to support vendor recovery
  • Coordinate approval of technical information letters
  • Establish controls to measure success of solutions
  • Update leadership (internal) or customers (external) on an as-needed basis
  • Close programs
  • Challenge team for productivity and cost saving solutions
  • Manage the cost of quality for our business as it relates to implementing solutions for field quality issues
  • Support commercial and technical discussions with our suppliers to achieve field quality issue resolution
  • Travel to customer / supplier sites to assist with validation or testing of field solutions before releasing as required

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering
  • No master’s degree resumes please
  • Advanced Excel/Database experience
  • Good interpersonal and planning skills
  • 2 years of experience project management or equivalent business experience
