Our Public Sector client in Toronto, ON is looking to hire a Technology Architect for a 11+month contract opportunity.

The successful candidate will work on Data Collection projects for the Community Services I&IT Cluster

 

Job Description:

The candidate will assist Client in the technical design and implementation of Client's I&IT solutions. This will involve assisting the project's Technology Lead by:

  • Creating technology and security requirements for an analytics/data software
  • Creating technology Enterprise Architecture artefacts
  • Evaluating responses to technology and security requirements
  • Installing and configuring new production and development servers and software. Most likely made up of:
  • Deliverables
  • At a minimum, the candidate will produce the following results/deliverables:
  • Create technology and security requirements for an analytics/data science software
  • Create technology Enterprise Architecture artefacts and other necessary systems design documents
  • Evaluate responses to technology and security requirements
  • Configure new production and development servers and software
  • Configure new production and development servers and software

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Provide project leadership and coordination of activities in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a diverse range of cost effective I&IT solutions
  • Provide technical advice to Client
  • Leverage OPS I&IT solutions and applications to meet program/service goals and objectives.
  • Lead the analysis, development and documentation of design and architecture of systems solutions
  • Lead the development of testing, integration, and implementation of systems solutions and the development of testing, integration, and implementation of systems solutions
  • Guide the feasibility studies and cost-effective analyses of proposed Client’s I&IT initiativesuide the feasibility studies and cost-effective analyses of proposed Client’s I&IT initiatives ensuring that all studies and analyses are documented.
  • Lead the technical aspects of projects related to the development and/or acquisition of a diverse range of client applications through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including planning, scheduling and estimating resources, providing technical expertise, coordination, monitoring progress and providing management with project status updates
  • Lead the research and evaluation of the technical components in the acquisition of software and the research and evaluation of the technical components in the acquisition of software hardware, technology, systems and products
  • Recommend and direct the measurement and improvement of tools, techniques, standards and directs the measurement and improvement of tools, techniques, standards and performance criteria to control the quality of application development initiatives
