Our client, a Canadian multinational energy transportation company with a focus on the transportation, distribution and generation of energy, has an immediate need for a Project Coordinator to collaborate with business stakeholders and execution teams. This is a contract position for five (5) months located in Calgary, Alberta. 

Description: 

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the project team to achieve quality results in a cost-effective timely manner. Key Responsibilities – Collaborate closely with PM’s, cross-functional teams and all partners, internal and external – Support the implementation and management of assigned projects  

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist the project teams in project related activities 
  • Coordinate and participate in project related meetings and drafts meeting minutes and agendas 
  • Review and track documentation, regulatory documents and internal documents  
  • Upload and maintain documents in tracking databases in a timely manner  
  • Maintain tracking tools, metrics, and calendars 
  • Coordinate travel arrangements when necessary 
  • Collaborate closely with team, regional operations, centralized functions and stakeholders to deliver/gather information as defined by your work assignments 
  • Identify different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance and recommend approaches to gather and report on these recommendations 
  • Generate easy-to-interpret reports based on collected data 
  • Work with the management team to prioritize suggested changes to reports 
  • Use statistical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and make suggestions for streamlining processes 
  • Write improved procedural instructions for all affected reports and project deliverables. 
  • Support the planning, implementation reporting and management of assigned projects 
  • Facilitates issue resolution discussions and action planning 

Must have Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of project related support experience – 
  • Associates degree (or internationally recognized equivalent 
  • Proficient in E-mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows applications
