Project Title:  Pickering NGS – HP Turbine Design and Installation/Continued Operations Support

Job Overview

  1. Require augment staff to support section due to volume of work associated with one time project -HP Turbine Design and Installation, as well as one time work revolving around continued operations of PNGS.
  2. Job requirements will include acting as a Design Team Lead, or Design Engineer as required, perform engineering deliverables and inspections as required.
  3. Experience in the design and analysis of structures using reinforced concrete, structural steel and masonry and knowledge of the construction techniques and Civil Engineering Codes and Standards associated is important for this position. Knowledge of OPG Design processes, Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements, Hoisting & Rigging, Scaffold inspection and Fall Protection requirements and applicable codes and standards is also important to this position

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 4 years design experience (Civil Design)
  2. Requires a Bachelor of  Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, and requires Professional Engineer License Designation
  3. Experience in the design and analysis of structures using reinforced concrete, structural steel and masonry and knowledge of the construction techniques and Civil Engineering Codes and Standards associated is important for this position. Knowledge of OPG Design processes, OSHA requirements, Hoisting & Rigging, Scaffold inspection and Fall Protection requirements and applicable codes and standards is also important to this position. Qualification as a Seismic Capable Engineer is an asset, including previous experience with Seismic Margin Assessment.
