Our Oil and Gas Midstream client is looking for an IT Program Manager to work on their Asset Management (AM) ERP project. The project will be undertaken in their downtown Calgary office.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Accountable for development and implementation of a Business Process Management (BPM) framework for Asset Management at both the Enterprise and BU AM levels 
• Accountable as a working manager for: 
– managing the business process specialist team; their goals, assignments and deliverables 
– aiding your team by assigning a portion of the workload to yourself 

Drive efficiency/effectiveness of key AM business processes & critical decisions: 

• Maintain a complete understanding of EAM and all of the associated processes 
• Develop/update current state baseline process models 
• Facilitate process workflow modeling sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to collaborate on new process development including clearly defined end-to-end process flows 
• Establish KPIs and success measures 
• Implement Continuous Improvement including conducting maturity assessments against existing processes to highlight areas of improvement, efficiency gain and/or waste elimination 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications: 

• Work closely with stakeholders and change management to ensure that all users understand the AM processes, and are trained, suitably knowledgeable and practiced to succeed in their roles (including transition to sustainment for ongoing management of lifecycle of process through to disposition) 
• Create process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self-service guidance for AM stakeholders 
• Establish and review information and trends (metrics/KPIs) to ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results and participate in problem resolution 
• Senior level communication and other knowledge support for AM through preparing materials for presentation to leadership and peers 
• Identify issues and risks and bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of AM program management 
• Work independently, driving toward program requirements 
• Some travel, within North America, is required 

MUST HAVE qualifications: 

• Senior level business process expertise, minimum 7 years 
• Experience in developing/implementing a BPM Framework at an enterprise level 
• Knowledge of best practices from BPM area of expertise 
• Experience in leading a team of business process specialists 
• Strong working knowledge of MS Visio 
• Strong relationship management and skills in the areas of facilitation, collaboration and delegation 
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Ability to influence and engage others up to and including an executive level 
• Team mindset 
• Communication and negotiation skills across all levels of the organization 
• Ability to drive for results 
• Flexibility and ability to work at a fast pace, managing competing priorities, often while working independently 
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize 
• Proactive and self-motivated

NICE TO HAVE qualifications:

• Experience with BPM enterprise software, eg. ARIS
• Experience with using BPMN 2.0
• A background in marketing/branding or communications
• Experience in developing and implementing BPM within a transformational environment
• Knowledge of Agile fundamentals
