Raise is hiring a Business Analyst for Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure. This position is a one (1)-year contract located in Calgary, Alberta. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and creating detailed process maps to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. This opportunity will appeal to an individual who enjoys working both independently and in a team environment, demonstrates effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and facilitation skills, and is adaptable to effectively complete deliverables in a timely fashion.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive process maps to document current and future state workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and elicit business requirements.
  • Document process descriptions, procedural documentation, standards, and policies.
  • Build workflows and ensure effective synchronization between competing corporate initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within business processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate processes to ensure alignment with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on process mapping.
  • Experience with eliciting business requirements and managing complex business scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 1+ years of experience in process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Agile or Lean methodologies is an asset
