Job Purpose:

Responsible for contributing to the efforts of the Locke Drive Site Operations and QA teams by establishing and driving processes for the creation of, instruction of, and documentation of training used to support current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) at a biological manufacturing site.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate to gain an understanding of the current training program and related training documentation systems.
  • Gather and assess current training materials, assess current training approaches for new and existing employees, manage trainee lists, and ownership of training plans and materials.
  • Work with site team members to create training matrices specific to each core team (i.e., Manufacturing, QC Laboratory, Warehouse, QA, etc.)
  • Utilizing training matrices, create or update related courses for documenting training in MasterControl, the sites document and training management system.
  • Develop and implement training checklists and competency check forms that can be used to assess and document the on-the-job (OJT) training provided.
  • Develop a process for evaluating and designating staff as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or subject matter trainers.
  • Once enhanced processes and related training forms are created, update related standard operating procedures (SOPs) or create new SOPs as needed to define the training program.
  • Schedule and coordinate periodic (quarterly) site newcomer orientation and refresher training days.
  • Develop, collect, and present training metrics data at the Quarterly Management Review (QMR) meeting to show the state of site training.

 

Required skill set

  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma / GED plus 4 years of experience in a regulated industry training or training related position. Strong working knowledge of English language (written and oral). Experienced with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint) and Excel.

Plant Operator

Our client is one of North America’s leading Integrated Oil Companies.  They have an immediate need for three Asphalt Operators to join their team for a seven (7) month contract opportunity.  This role will be located at their Asphalt Plant in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the plant Manager, responsible for assisting in all aspects of plant operations.

Depending on job level, duties may include: Loading and unloading trucks with asphalt or emulsified asphalt products Heating and unloading railcars of asphalt or other bulk liquids

Operating and maintaining equipment including pumps, mills, forklifts, other mobile equipment. Receiving, shipping, storing, blending and heating asphalt, emulsion and chemicals used in manufacturing of emulsified asphalt Boiler supervision Production of emulsified asphalt products Order taking from customers

Core Responsibilities:

  • Product handling including loading, unloading, heating and blending products
  • Ensuring safe work practices and adhering to company policy and procedures including understanding and following HOIMS rules and policies. Maintain personal training matrix and safety scorecard compliance
  • Order taking
  • Proper completion of inventory and shipping documentation
  • Maintain all equipment in a proper and safe manner

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

Duties Include:

  • Create media elements for technical training manuals, computer-based/web-based training and classroom presentations (story board)
    • Create isometric representations/drawings to be used in training material
    • Sketch complex mechanical assembly drawings to be used in training material
    • Interpret and use standard, mechanical, electrical and electronic symbols

  • Merge media elements into instructional materials
  • Liaise with different working groups to ensure top quality with the final product

  • Collaborate to the improvement of the established processes

Skills Required:

Flight Operations Training Developer

We are looking for a Flight/Operations Training Developer on behalf of our Aerospace client in Montreal.  The Training  Developer will work as part of a team to develop and update training materials. The training courseware consists of: lesson plans, manuals, instructor-led presentations, test material, web and computer based training (CBT) and training aids; and devices required to support the organization’s customer requirements. 

Duties Include:

  • Developing lesson plans, training courseware, manuals, test/examination questions and training aids in support of training programs.

  • Assist other departments in responding to the customers’ technical and training questions
