Integrity Data Technician

Our client, one of North America’s premier energy companies has an immediate need for an Integrity Data Technician to join their Calgary based team for a 12 month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

The Integrity Data Technician provides technical support to the Facility Integrity Management Program with day-to-day pressure equipment integrity data entry and maintenance in the pressure equipment integrity database (Visions).
 

The responsibilities of this position will include but not limited to:

  • Input pressure vessel, boiler, pressure safety valve (PSV), piping, and atmospheric storage tank integrity static data onto templates to be uploaded into Visions.
  • Upload relevant equipment drawings and manufacturer data report (MDR) from Electronic Document Management (EDM) system into Visions and link them to the respective equipment;
  • Digitize relevant historical paper copies of documents and records into electronic formats ready for data upload into Visions when required;
  • Upload reviewed inspection and NDE reports into Visions and link them to the respective equipment;
  • Input non-destruction examination (NDE) data, including condition monitoring location (CML) readings from reviewed NDE reports;
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) on pressure equipment integrity data from inspection reports and data validation reports to ensure accuracy and consistency before data entry;
  • Ensure consistencies of common data between the pressure equipment integrity database (Visions) and the work management platform (SAP);
  • Compile reports on compliance and key performance indicators (KPI) when required;
  • Maintain constant communications with Asset Data Management (ADM) to provide up-to-date technical guidance on Visions and SAP data management to the Facility Integrity Team;
  • Support integrity data management enhancement projects by ADM with user inputs and feedbacks.
     

This position will also require the individual to:

  • Review and process large amount of data day-to-day while maintaining attention to details;
  • A demonstrated ability to follow technical directions communicated both verbally or in writing; proactively seek information from appropriate subject matter experts when further information or clarifications when required
  • Ensure data being entered into the integrity database are accurate and complete with all due diligence; thoroughly understand the importance of data accuracy and completeness to the effective implementation of an integrity management program.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of following a safety culture
  • Minimum 6 months of pressure equipment integrity data entry experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education diploma or University degree
  • 2 or more years of pressure equipment integrity data management experience
  • Proficient with Visions integrity database or other pressure equipment databases
  • Skilled with commonly used computer software such as MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint

Our market leading energy client has an immediate need for a Materials Coordinator who will be accountable for receiving, checking, maintaining and accounting for all material used in assigned construction projects.

What you will be doing…

  • Maintain required record keeping system for materials, manufacturers equipment data, and general correspondence for assigned construction projects.
  • Check all materials received from the Stores Department and vendors for correctness and condition of materials. Maintain the necessary records for these materials to be utilized for construction of pipeline and station projects.
  • Deliver materials to the construction site and assist in the unloading of materials received from the vendors and Stores Department.
  • Assure that all material received is stored in a safe and non-damaging manner and shelter is provided where necessary.
  • Maintain schedules of anticipated material deliveries from Stores and Purchasing Departments and various vendors and keeps the Construction Office and other interested parties informed.
  • Procure materials not originally ordered from Company warehouse and various suppliers.
  • Collect, account, and follow proper methods of disposal for unused materials at the completion of projects.
  • Collect, account, and follow proper methods of disposal for retired materials as specified in the Environmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Collect required reporting information necessary to prepare Company completion reports which are inventories of property units installed or retired.
  • Investigate discrepancies reported by the Controller’s Department on the difference report.

What you will need to succeed…

  • Have an introductory knowledge of gas pipeline construction and be able to complete assigned work under limited supervision.
  • Should possess a pick-up truck.

  • Must have Materials Load Out experience and load out scheduling experience.

Test Automation Developer will be responsible to understand the long-term application portfolio plans and be responsible for the test automation of the technology solutions defined within that plan. Our market leading energy client has an immediate need for a Pipeline Engineer To oversee the design for pipelines and related facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third party engineering firms to ensure compliance with Company standards and specifications and industry standards and managed to the project budget and schedule.

This Individual will act as a Liaison with other functional groups within Projects, Operations and Shared Services to ensure project and company requirements are achieved and incorporated into the design deliverables.

This is a 8-month contract located in Edmonton, Alberta.

What you will be doing…

  • Ensures that all pipelines and associated facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes and corporate specifications and standards
  • Defines the scope, schedule and budget for the design and materials for pipeline projects
  • Manages the execution of the design deliverables by a third-party engineering firm against the project budget and schedule
  • Reviews and approves design deliverables for example drawings, technical reports and material listing sheets
  • Reviews vendor materials quotations, prepares technical evaluations, and recommends to the supervisor selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery.  For example, pipe, valves and fittings.
  • Reviews and approves fabrication and assembly approval drawings for engineered equipment, and other fabrications (prefabricated buildings, piping fabrications, pig trap barrels, etc.)
  • Reviews lessons learned from past projects and incorporates recommendations into future designs
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers within the team
  • Support department initiatives as required

What you will need to succeed…

Must Haves

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical
  • P. Eng. designation in Canada
  • Capable of working independently, managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks accordingly
  • Problem solve issues through use of standards, modification of standards and/or previous experience
  • Effectively communicate technical issues and impacts to other technical and non-technical staff

Preferred

  • 7 – 10 years of natural gas pipeline design experience for onshore transmission lines in the U.S.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes in Canada and the US (CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, 49CFR195 (DOT Code), ASME BPVC Sect. VIII)
  • Familiarity and knowledge of materials standards & specifications (CSA, ANSI Ratings, ASME, API, MSS, etc.)
  • Horizontal Directional Drill Design (HDD), road bores, and applicable load/stress calculations experience
  • Experience working with geotechnical and hydrotechnical hazards
