Provision of support services to employees who are experiencing technical difficulties and problems with information technology (desktops, laptops, mobile phone services). on the spot or access to the network by private network virtual (VPN).

Resolving problems in scheduled delays or escalating them on behalf of the client to appropriate technical staff. day images of the standard systems.

DESCRIPTION          

Provide professional assistance to internal and external customers having hardware- and software-related problems with their supported desktop, laptop or peripherals. Able to resolve local area networking issues to ensure connectivity to the Corporate network, and work with the Infrastructure and Messaging teams as necessary to resolve incidents. Support is provided in a timely manner in accordance to published SLAs while maintaining a high level of customer satisfactions.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The candidate must be bilingual (French and English).

The mandate is to swap and replace defective hardware under warranty.

Experience level should equate +5 years of experience.

Smart hands engineer servicing PCs, iPhone, iPad Strong customer service skills.

Works closely with the Solution Architecture team and acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to devise the most appropriate and efficient strategy to implement targeted delivery solution(s) for potential projects in the pipeline.

The candidate is technically knowledgeable to have the ability to absorb new technology and solutions with minimal training or overview.

Is the go-to person for both internal and external customers by providing shared service support for any of, or combination of, image management and deployment, anti-virus administration, patch management and deployment, software deployment, or other potential technical offerings.

Able to resolve issues with any of the shared services program offerings or be in a position to offer new solutions that exist today in the industry, and work with infrastructure, security, or enterprise application teams as necessary.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must have virtual machine development, deployment and maintenance experience.

Ability to manage IT / Desktop initiatives and organize projects.

will be tasked with maintaining the Standard Operating Environment for Imaging that will go on all client employee desktops

SOE is created and tested in an ESX host, candidate will need to create virtual machines (VMWare, Hyper-V)

using VMWARE to configure and maintain ESX environment.

SME-level expertise of supported Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Intermediate level expertise with other operating systems such as Linux and MAC.

Intermediate level expertise using virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Experience with Citrix.

Advanced- level expertise with Active Directory administration, including maximizing the use of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for task automation.

Advanced level expertise with multiple scripting tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Provide Level-3 technical support for supported shared services offerings.

May own the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.

Maintain standard software configurations, including troubleshooting, loading and configuring software images, supported applications and drivers.

Take a leadership role in the development of information technology and infrastructure solutions as new external projects are initiated.

Partner with the Solution Architecture team that focus on early drafts of Statement of Work (SOW) with potential customers to determine if intended solution appropriately meets the customer needs.

Be able to clearly articulate any changes to the solution in a clear and concise manner.

Create and seek customer approval of proposed application test parameters prior to formally implementing the deployment and procedure of patch and software via shared services tools.

Create, install, support and troubleshooting of approved desktop software via shared service automated software deployment tool.

Work with vendor support as required to resolve any complicated issues.

Utilize any shared services tool to create standard or customized reports for further analysis of assets and software distribution.

Make recommendations, based on industry best-practice, to enhance reports.

Plan and execute maintenance, moves, adds and changes within the shared services realm of project scope.

Provide support services to junior team members with technical problems and information technology within the shared services stream.

Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation of shared services program issues on behalf of customers and project team members.

Proactively provide continuous process improvement feedback and update standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Q/A work of junior team members in the areas of image and software package development, test plans, or activities contained within any future change requests.
