We are seeking Project Coordinator who will manage the interactions in a matrix/cross-functional organization structure in order to ensure timely execution of implementation and validation activities in Marlborough, MA.

On a day to day basis your work will include:

  • Project Management for all Upstream Field actions,
  • At the request of the Product Manager generates and / or coordinates the FAP (Field Action Plan).
  • Creates a FAP and communicates with Global Service Engineering (GSE).
  • Works with GSE to Assure that the FA team drafts the Customer Notification letter (CNL), Action Plan (FAP) and acquires approval for the FAP.
  • Leads and coordinates and closes the FMI program as assigned.
  • Product draft and send Consignee/Customer Refusal Documents.
  • Integrate with Regional commercial teams to insure appropriate customers are identified and engaged.
  • Integrate with Quality Assurance teams to insure a coordinated effort.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, biotechnology, cell biology, biochemistry or equivalent experience (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 4 years progressive experience in a technical field or project management).
  • Project management experience in a biopharmaceutical production / cGMP environment.
  • An understanding of quality, sales and support processes, single use products knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions to deliver results and execute multiple commitments within the Global Environment.
  • Experience with and understanding of the methods of validation in GxP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industrial standards such as GAMP5, ASTM E2500, ISPE, ICH.
  • Multitasking abilities to drive critical issues simultaneously.
  • Resourcefulness, commitment, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office products

Biomedical Technician

We are seeking Biomedical Equipment Technician who will properly respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on progressively complex customer’s biomedical equipment and drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence for a short term project in Hoboken, NJ.

On a day to day basis your work will include:

  • With minimal supervision, evaluate progressively complex, customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs; as assigned, perform planned maintenance (PM), safety and environmental inspections and maintain effective customer relations. Follow appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation.
  • Maintain daily communications with customers, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. As instructed, implement GE / customer facility contract, supporting business goals and objectives.
  • May assist more and less experienced technicians on basic and complex repairs /resolution respectively. Work as a member of local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area. When trained, share on-call / pager responsibility.
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule. Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment and ensure calibration. Maintain approved parts inventory. Manage vendor’s service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies, as instructed. Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal instruction.
  • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Minimum of one-year military experience or other equivalent formal training in maintaining electronics, electromechanical or medical equipment.
    • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Principles.
  • Minimum of four years of experience performing troubleshooting and planned maintenance on basic biomedical equipment following current standards, code and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices.
  • Proficiency in completing electronic documentation using PDA and computer skills.
  • Previous experience developing and maintaining good customer relations.
  • Willing to occasionally travel outside of assigned region.

Electro Mechanical Technician

We are seeking Electro-Mechanical Technician must be able to work with a team of technical resources to carry out test requests in the area of electrical and high power components

  • Perform all technical functions relevant to the preparation and testing as specified by global test requests
  • Prepare test equipment for carrying out specific electrical tests (Calibration, dielectric, etc.)
  • Perform basic calculations/recording and tabulations of technical data and record them accordingly
  • Maintain applicable records: enter maintenance requests, qualification records, and writing of laboratory reports as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling proprietary test data, formulations and data on patentable or other confidential items under development
  • Perform routine environmental tests (Rain tests, temperature, humidity, etc.)
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and working area. Perform minor equipment calibration and repairs as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a strong knowledge of electricity principals;
  • Associate Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering AND at least 3-4 years of related experience
  • Must have basic knowledge in the operation of electrical and electromechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of UL, CSA, and IEC testing standards are also desired, as the candidate will be performing specific tests that requires the interpretation and understanding of the different standards.

Project Engineer

We are seeking a for a  Engineering Project Manageto provide critical bioprocess knowledge to our Product Care Life Cycle Engineering team.

The Lead Project Engineer position is located in the Westborough R&D Life Cycle Engineering group within the Biotechnology business area in GE Healthcare Life Sciences. The primary focus of this position is to provide technical guidance and expertise in the bioprocess area with applications and engineering knowledge of single-use bioreactor systems; cell bags and hollow fiber filtration. This position requires the application of design, investigation root cause analysis, product testing, data analysis and report writing to resolve customer complaints / product issues and implement existing product design improvements, all while working in a cross-functional team environment.

Essential Responsibilities

The successful candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge and sound business acumen as well as excellent communication skills to work across multiple internal teams and with customers.

  • Function as an internal and external technical expert for upstream single-use bioprocessing equipment, products, processing and application methods.
  • Interface directly with customers, suppliers and internal groups to resolve customer complaint investigations, drive root cause analysis and to implement design, process and supplier quality related solutions.
  • Lead the design, testing and release of single-use consumable products; components, assemblies, packaging, tooling and fixtures.
  • Proficient in CAD solid modeling tools; preferably SolidWorks and/or CREO.
  • Leading product design to meet their intended use. Ensure performance of engineering analyses (support and review FEA, CFD analyses) to lead design decisions.
  • Create and maintain DHF; detail drawings, specifications, assembly drawings and associated Bill-of-Materials, manufacturing documents, including initial assembly instructions, inspection criteria and packaging instructions.
  • Verify product performance against design inputs. Write verification protocols, perform testing, analyze and interpret test data, and write and present verification reports.
  • Create manufacturing documents, including initial assembly instructions, inspection specifications, component specifications, and packaging instructions.
  • Release products through the ECR/ECO process.
  • Lead CAPA activities and track Customer Complaint Investigation records in Trackwise System.
  • Coordinate project priorities with team and Product Managers.
  • Self-manage tasks. Identify design requirements, perform risk assessments, identify required resources, estimate time and budget, and interface with peers, managers, suppliers and customers.
  • Maintain a safe work area.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in either; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering or BioEngineering.
  • 5 years relevant experience in biopharmaceutical processing, medical device or related Biotechnology field of work.
  • Strong experience in plastic part design and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Working knowledge of plastic material characteristics, particularly as used in disposable medical devices, or life science or biomedical products.
  • Knowledge of bio-compatible material selection for sterile single-use application in bio-processing and/or medical device applications.
  • Strong understanding of materials, properties, Mfg. processes, and product assembly.
  • Awareness of GMP and governmental regulations related to drug manufacturing sufficient to appreciate the need for documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret professional journals and technical procedures, write test protocols and reports; communicate test analysis and results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools; Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio.
  • Hands-on experience designing, prototyping and testing of components and assemblies.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives.
