Web Specialist (Digital Communications Specialist)

SUMMARY
Our public sector client is seeking a results-oriented individual to optimize the end-user experience through graphic design and innovation.  While working with a diverse team, you will ensure the timely and effective communication of priorities, policies and actions to external and internal stakeholders across all of the client's corporate channels

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Publish and maintain content on the website, as well as include occasional changes to its appearance, organization, content access and display
– Maintain, produce, and publish digital communications in compliance with established standards, policies and legal obligations
– Liaise closely with key internal partners, maintaining multiple third-party supplier relationships in support of team activities; and
– Conduct ongoing research of best practices on technical and non-technical standards, processes, and advice on recommended solutions.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
– At a minimum a recently completed two (2) year college diploma in website design and development or a degree in computer science (or equivalent program)
– advanced proficiency using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
– experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js, etc.)
– experience with API integrations (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML/XLST)
– knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Accessibility compliance standards
– strong working knowledge of visual communication, interaction design, user-centered experience design and digital marketing
– keen understanding of UX/UI principles and best-practices
– advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
– solid grasp of responsive web design and frameworks (Bootstrap)
– knowledge of web analytics (Google Analytics or similar tool) and SEO
– experience editing audio/video using Adobe Premiere
– experience in using enterprise level CMS (OpenText Web Site Management, WordPress, Drupal)
– strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, and to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Senior Business Analyst – Financial Sector Experience

SUMMARY

For an anticipated need from one of our financial sector clients, we are pro-actively building a Senior Business Analyst candidate pool to fill a temporary assignment that we anticipate will start in September.  To be strongly considered, candidates should have experience in one or more of the following highly desireable requirements:

– Experience in surveillance or regulatory filing environment and application
– Experience in capital markets

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Understand the business goals, priorities, processes, and underlying rules and regulations across multiple jurisdictions and stakeholder groups.
– Lead business requirement elicitation and facilitate discussion with multiple jurisdiction with diverse viewpoints and business needs to reach a consensus outcome.
– Manage business relationships and expectations through structured communication (e.g. Business Requirement Document (BRD) to keep business engaged and updated.  Also, use formal and informal written communication methods (e.g. email, PowerPoint, decision brief) to provide updates
– Document and review business and system requirements artifacts (e.g. Requirements Management Plan, Business Requirements Document, Business Process flow, Use Case, System Functional Models).
– Proactively recognize business opportunities and make recommendation for process and/or system enhancements through detailed analysis (e.g. one-on-one interview, documentation review, gap analysis, end to end process review)
– Ensure requirements management and facilitation best practices are adhered to including the management of artifacts through traceability, version control, and change control.
– Provide guidance to a team of business analyst in cross vendor projects.
– Collaborate closely and provide guidance to vendors and testers during the build and test phases to ensure requirements are fully understood.
– Perform gap analysis documenting “as-is” and “to-be” functionality.
– Create and maintain user stories and product backlog.
– Maintain requirements repository and ensure all artifacts are up to date.
– Prepares RFP proposals for new business opportunities.
– Collaborate with internal and vendor Enterprise Architect team to review requirements to ensure alignment with solution design.
– Assist with the development of business analysis framework including templates, best practices, standards, strategies, techniques, and tools.
– Assist with the development of business architecture and product roadmap.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

– University Degree in Business, Information System, or related discipline.
– 7+ years’ experience as a (Senior) Business Analyst, System Analyst, Product Owner, or Business Consultant
– Experience in surveillance or regulatory filing environment and application is an asset.
– Experience in capital market is an asset.
– Expert in identifying, documenting, and managing of business and system requirements that may be cross functional and technically complex
– Expert in various system and business requirements artifacts (e.g. BRD, User Stories, Use Case, Business Process Maps)
– Ability to scrutinize, investigate and find clarity from ambiguous information
– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge and hands on experience with BPM and UML concepts, techniques, tools and delivery approaches.
– Knowledge and experience with business analysis methodologies and SDLC.
– Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts.
– Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
– Experience in working with external third-party solution providers.
– Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
– Experience with Jira and Confluence.
– Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or Certified Business Architect (CBA) certifications is an asset.
– Experience in surveillance or regulatory filing environment and application is an asset.
– Experience in capital market is an asset.
– Knowledge of requirements management tool (e.g. Sparx EA) is an asset
