EPMO Standards Lead

Duties Include:

  • Work with PMO to establish process standards and best practices, covering project lifecycles, from project initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, control and closeout
  • Develop standards and documentation while maintaining the organization’s standards and meeting compliance
  • Interact with other business units, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Project Managers and Project Control teams to gather expertise for inclusion, adaption, and alignment of process and best practices
  • Work with the supporting organizations to identify, research, analyze and resolve standards issues and provide guidance on EPMO standards.
  • Utilize industry best practices on project methodologies, and technologies for continuous improvement.

Skills Required:

  • 10+ years of related Project Management and/or Project Controls experience
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex projects, preferably in energy utility or construction
  • Significant risk management and mitigation experience
  • Experience with contracts and procurement management for projects
  • Ability to facilitate a mixed group of stakeholders to identify process requirements and drive to a consensus on process standards
  • Technical writing expertise for the development of a process, work instructions, job aids, and other related documentation
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent required.


Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for one of our largest electrical and natural gas utility companies in Michigan.  Working with a variety of internal teams, they will be responsible for design and project engineering for site electrical power, lighting, pressure and temperature instruments, HVAC, electrical valve actuators and SCADA equipment.

Duties Include:

  • Electrical System Design/Installation for Hazardous Locations/Oil and Gas Facilities in compliance with the National Electrical Code/NFPA 70
  • Design/interpretation of AC and DC electrical Schematics
  • Product/process research.
  • Field technical support during construction.
  • Specification drafting and review
  • Coordination and communication with multiple internal and external groups and / or service providers is a must.
  • Preparation of bid packages/request for proposal (RFP) documentation and evaluation of construction contractor proposals.


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or associate degree OR Alternative degrees (e.g. Mechanical, Chemical, etc.) will be considered with relevant experience.
  • 3+ plus years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Electrical Construction practices
  • Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills

Strong Assets:

  • Practical work experience as an electrician or equipment technician.
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)


Electrical Design Technician

We are looking for an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Design Technician who will be responsible for developing the CAD drawings. Working as part of a small team, natural gas infrastructure improvement projects.

Duties Include:

  • Developing CAD Designs of electrical and communication systems & process measurement devices at natural gas regulation and associated pipeline facilities.
  • Assists in developing support detail and information documents for various engineering activities and projects as well as supporting material procurement and development of design standards.

Skills Required:

  • Must have advanced computer and applications knowledge.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • Ability to produce clear and precise drawings.
  • Drafting experience utilizing MicroStation or AutoCAD, or similar.


EPC Project Manager

We are looking for an EPC Project Manager to plan and manage medium to large sized projects for both low and high-voltage distribution, gas transmission and gas distribution; on behalf of our client.

Working through the projects’ lifecycle, responsibilities include:

Project scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives

  • Develop and maintain project plans that provide timely deliverables in order to achieve project objectives
  • Identify initial risks, issues and constraints
  • Assume project communication lead role  & perform presentations to leadership team
  • Assist in the development of performance metrics and track performance

Project Managers with a PMP certification and 5+ years of engineering/business experience with demonstrated capability to lead medium to large scale projects, simultaneously with multiple small scale projects are encouraged to apply.
