Our client, a leading medical device company, is currently seeking an accomplished Field Support Engineer to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:
1) Install instruments at customer sites, for sales demos, and product shows, ensuring compliance with the company's specifications
2) Offer onsite and remote support
3) Develop expertise in digital products to support Sales and Marketing initiatives effectively
4) Document information for repair records in line with SOPs and regulatory standards
5) Analyse findings through telephone or on-site inspection to identify the source of problems
6) Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and part replacement to optimise analyzer performance following SOP
7) Coordinate with Field Support Group and other personnel to expedite problem resolution and minimise downtime, prioritising customer satisfaction
8) Adhere to company policies and procedures, serving as a communication link between customers and the company
9) Manage company resources and equipment effectively, including parts, tools, and trunk stock
10) Escalate open or recurring issues promptly for resolution in accordance with SOP
11) Review regional service contract metrics to drive customer contract renewal growth for primary accounts
12) Ensure high-level customer satisfaction through successful completion of field service responsibilities
13) Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support as needed
14) Collaborate with Sales, Technical Support, and Marketing departments to promote teamwork and synergy
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in engineering
