Raise is hiring a Field Superintendent for Our Client a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection. This position is a one (1 ) year based out of Saskatoon and will be supporting Northern Saskatchewan projects. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

 

  • Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodations provided
  • Rotation (2 weeks in-2weeks out, 11 hours a day)

Description

The Field Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the shutdown project within a fast-paced environment. You will lead a team of contractors, ensuring adherence to the organization’s safety protocols, workface planning processes, and high-quality standards.

 

Role Accountabilities:

  • Ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements.
  • Review and/or develop detailed work plans according to workface planning processes.
  • In some instances, the Field Superintendent may perform supervision of direct field labor on mechanical/piping scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high-quality standard.
  • In some instances, the Field Superintendent will oversee the contractor’s activities of a mechanical/piping nature confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements.
  • Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies.
  • Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers.
  • Daily validation and approval of contractor submitted labor, equipment and material reports.
  • Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the operations team as required.

Qualifications:

  • 4 to 9 years of construction supervision experience with multi-discipline mechanical work required (mechanical equipment, piping)
  • Journeyperson status in Electrical/Instrumentation or Mechanical 
  • Experience with reviewing and/or developing detailed work plans.
  • Previous experience in a brown field construction environment is required.
  • CSO Designation an asset
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • First Aid/WHMIS
  • Supervisory training
