8 month contract opportunity. 

Provide technology support service to end users in all areas of the company within the established service level agreements. Work with various types of software, PC hardware/peripherals and operating system platforms within a highly secure environment. Carry out short-term assignments and research projects under direction of senior staff.

Primary Activities will be the following:

  • Completing tasks associated with end user Service Requests
  • Assist users as by phone, email, remote tools, and desk-side support to resolve problems reported to the Help Desk
  • Troubleshooting and repair for end user technology including desktop, notebook computers, printers, software and mobile devices
  • End user technology setup, configuration, maintenance, and deployment
  • Creating and updating documentation for end user technology deployment and support
  • Remote deployment of patches and software using automation tools
  • Supporting and deploying technology for internal IT projects as required
  • Coordination with Vendors for equipment repair and replacement
  • Network infrastructure cabling
  • Rotational after hours on-call support

QUALIFICATIONS:

Interested candidates will have a minimum of one-year technology diploma/certificate and two years of work experience. The candidate will have have the following certifications: MCSA, A+, Security +, Networking + or equivalent certification. The successful candidate is to have the following:

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the Windows desktops and networking environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows 7/10 operating systems is required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Effective work prioritization and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude
  • High capacity for learning new technologies
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of network technology including Virtual Private Networks and firewalls,
  • Working knowledge of desktop applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of telephone systems or mobile devices is an asset
  • Knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) software packaging and deployment tool an asset
  • All candidates must be Bilingual – French and English
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills are essential to this position. All .  candidates must be able to obtain CGP and ITAR clearance..
