Financial Analyst – Senior

Our Banking client in Toronto, ON is looking to hire a Financial Analyst – Senior for a 6 month contract role with possibility of extension

Brief Project Description:  

•     Regular day-to-day management reporting, weekly estimates, cost allocations reporting and analysis, forecast and plan,

•     Proactively identify efficiencies and process improvements

•     Validate data accuracy and provide actionable analysis on operating results.

Daily Responsibilities:

•         Assist with the month-end close (reporting)

•         Assist with the Forecast and Plan (reporting)

•         Management Reporting

•         Maintain internally developed excel (Macro-VBA) based models

•         Executive PowerPoints decks

•         Head office reporting requirements

Must Have Skills:

  • Previous Financial experience (5+ years)
  • Fantastic technical skills Advanced Excel – VBA (must have), pivot table etc.
  • Experience working with big database – to manipulate huge database Use database information to create reporting
  • Reporting experience, building dashboards with Tableau

Strong business acumen

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidate must be a proactive and independent worker, creative and innovative self-starter; as well as demonstrates a team oriented spirit who brings lots of initiative to a small team. 

Nice to Have Skills:

  • EPM Cognos/TM1 finance systems experience preferred

Duration: 4 months

Work Location: Toronto 20 Dundas St W., 12th (Work from home for now)

Hours (is there a possibility of OT): Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. A little flexibility with work hours. 37.5 hours/week. Overtime might be required occasionally.

Possibility of Extension/Conversion: Yes, conversion and extension are expected and will depend on the workers performance.

Interview Process: 2 telephonic rounds – In the first round, the manager will access the attitude and fit; and second round will be technical with the manager and other members of the team. The manager is targeting to interview on August 21st.

Reason the Role is Open: Net new position for the increased workload and new projects coming in

Daily Job Duties Include:

Participate in the development and maintenance of stable and highly secure Android application and be responsible for the product development. Participate in the discussion and compilation of the project implementation plan, complete the preparation of the project requirements, outline, detailed design and other documents; Responsible for the project subsystem or module design and coding; Responsible for mentoring developers and code review to help the team grow. Responsible for providing hands-on architectural design for native Android applications with a deep understanding of design patterns such as MVP, MVVM. Responsible for effectively working in an Agile environment. Responsible for issue tracking in JIRA and documentation in Confluence

Must-Have Skills/Experience:

5+ years of experience building native Android applications 5+ years of experience in Java Familiarity with Kotlin Advance knowledge of

  • Android Studio,
  • Gradle, and
  • GIT
  • Experience in
  • Data Binding,
  • LiveData,
  • Android Life-cycles,
  • REST APIs,
  • Navigation Component, etc.
  • Hands on experience with
  • Unit Tests,
  • Integration tests.

Nice to Have:

Experience with UI Automation. Experience with Accessibility related Android components to create inclusive applications. Experience with Android performance analysis tools.
