Job Description:

  • Provide customer order service for the Crop Protection export business. Responsible for order processing from receipt of order, through delivery of goods and final invoicing of Customer and all functions of Customer Service which are associated with this process.
  • Order and data entry into SAP
  • Planning, reviewing, scheduling and booking, and releasing orders for shipments as well as resolution of order issues
  • Manage order plan and coordination with warehouse to ensure customer requested delivery dates are met
  • Preparing and dispatching shipping documents and associated record keeping
  • Communication to both external and internal customers
  • This position will be responsible for SAP order processing of raw materials and packaging components to support contract manufacturing operations and reporting on actual and planned raw material and packaging component delivery status.
  • Core tasks include:
    • (1) Reviewing production demands and planning purchase order requirements and monitoring raw material and component orders and stocks to ensure timely delivery supporting production schedules
      (2) Expediting deliveries when required
    • (3) Creating and transmitting purchase orders against established purchase agreements for raw material and packaging components
    • (4) Creating stock transfer orders to move raw materials and packaging components between warehouse locations and/or toll sites to support production and creating delivery notes for these stock transfers
    • (5) Posting receipts of raw materials and packaging for those tollers without SAP connections
    • (6) reporting to track open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery dates to ensure communication of order and delivery status
    • (7) Working with Corporate Procurement to add and/or edit articles on purchasing agreements
    • (8) Confirming that required logistics activities are being organized for all related shipments
    • (9) Confirming availability of required labels at production point.

Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, supply chain, or business preferred
  • 2-year degree in the same areas required.
  • Knowledge of purchasing and receiving activities and inventory control operations.
  • A working knowledge of the production and procurement modules of SAP R3 is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Must have excellent customer focus, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate must be detailed oriented and have a willingness to do routine data entry and follow through.

We are looking for a Chemical Engineer/Formulation Scientist that is an internal expert of various techniques to characterize and identify active components of cannabis, including but not limited to; supercritical CO2 extraction, ethanol extraction, short-path distillation, rotary evaporation, HPLC, GC, MS, and common techniques in organic chemistry.

Duties Include:

  • Conduct studies on the properties of materials (hardware & chemical) and characteristics of materials; Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions

Job Description:

Pre SD Activities:

  • Participate in the scope definition and development process, with a focus on the mechanical activities (equipment inspections, repairs and capital projects) as required.
  • When advantageous, proposes alternative scope to meet the same objectives.
  • Analyze detail planning information from previous TAR(s), as required.
  • Plan Jobs assigned in the planning tool and produce the according to guidelines set by lead planners, planning coordinators and TAR manager.
  • Request secondary discipline (I&E, rotating equipment) planning support as needed
  • Maintains all planning documentation including progress in the tools as defined by the planning coordinator and TAR manager.
  • Coordinates and/or plans capital project activities for the TAR as defined by the TAR and Construction managers.
  • Support secondary discipline planning to finalize plans for the mechanical activities associated with I&E and rotating equipment jobs as necessary.
  • Coordinates with the I&E, Electrical, and Operations Planners regarding scope development, scope additions, isolations, work planning, PPE, permitting requirements, etc.
  • Support the development of the site/unit infrastructure and facilities (provide summary of needs to Logistics Coordinator, especially long-lead deliveries).
  • Assemble job packages.
  • Support the seamless transition of the work packages to the contractor in order to ensure that the contractor understands the content of mechanical work packages

SD Activities:

  • Provide field support to the Execution organization for mechanical jobs, including safety and quality oversight.
  • Support the progression process and provide validation where necessary.
  • Document daily findings and events (notes/photographs).
  • Ensure discovery work is addressed through the TAR-specific work process and provide planning/estimating/material and/or service procurement as necessary.
  • Participate in decommissiong/recommissioning, safety/housekeeping walkthroughs, and productivity audits.
  • Provide contractors with any additional documentation needed to conduct work properly.

Post SD Activities:

  • Provide input to contractor evaluations.
  • Participate in review meetings and creation of lessons learned.
  • Ensure planning details, daily notes, photos, and other documentation are properly archived.

Inventory Investigation and Resolution

  • The inventory management and reconciliation at the site is insufficient. Inventory is tracked in 3 separate systems. Provox Programming

  • The site is currently making process changes associated with projects that are to be implemented. However, we do not have an internal resource that has any Provox programming experience.
  • The main objective of this role is to support the Catalyst R&D organization by providing engineering in terms of process safety, process design, project management and upkeep of equipment and technical documentation. With scientists and equipment operators as your customer, you will be responsible for developing, overseeing construction, maintaining, and retrofitting small to mid-capital laboratory and pilot scale equipment that is often one of a kind. One of the primary focuses of this role is to provide prompt service to the R&D staff on all smaller, lower capital projects to ensure that equipment functionality and uptime is maximized.

 Responsibilities:

  • Interface with EH&S and contribute to safety reviews for new and modified equipment
  • Responsible for keeping technical drawing packages up to date and in accordance with internal specifications and standards
  • Work with scientists and operators to define scope and requirements for new equipment or existing equipment to be repurposed
  • Create piping and mechanical designs per customer requirements and Company internal standards Specify mechanical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Work with vendors and place orders as necessary
  • Generate process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, bill of materials, functional specification documents
  • Generate scope of work and request for proposal documents when dealing with internal or external contractors

  • With customer requirements in mind, generate mechanical part drawings in AutoCAD that will be provided to machine shops for construction of stainless steel, Inconel, and a variety of other metal parts

 Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree in a technical engineering discipline such as mechanical, chemical, or similar engineering field
  • 3+ years hands on and/or technical design experience in a plant, pilot
  • 3+ plant, or R&D setting
  • Strong CAD skills for P&ID and mechanical part drawings
  • Experience working with automation systems, PLCs, data acquisition systems
  • Training in Six Sigma or Lean preferable o Knowledge of Kaizen, 5S
  • Experience or training in statistical process control
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a wide range of projects from smaller engineering maintenance requests to capital projects
  • General understanding of power and circuitry, ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC
  • Understanding of machining and welding feasibility for various types of alloys
  • Knowledge of chemical and temperature compatibility of components, specifically high temperature alloys
  • Experience with pressure vessels or vacuum systems and associated safety equipment
  • Knowledge of combustion engines is a plus
