Our client in Regina, SK is looking for a JDEdwards Enterprise One (JDE E1) Solution Architect for a 1 year contract.

The Solutions & Architecture team provides architecture and information management services, focused on business, information, integration, security, and technology domains. This group delivers IT technology and service planning, business capability development and road mapping, as well as delivering high quality and effective solutioning services to the PDO as well as directly to the business.
An emerging focus for the Solutions & Architecture group is establishing and delivering an Information Management (IM) program including governance, content management, metadata management, and master data management practices. This extends to service delivery for IM products and tools as well as collaboration and content management services for the business.

Deliverables include:

  • JDEdwards Enterprise One (JDE E1) solution experience – Especially in the areas of Asset Management, Supply Chain Management, as well as in the areas of Financial Management and Human Capital Management
  • Any solutions associated with Asset Management, Asset Performance Management and Asset Related Analytics solutions in the natural gas, pipeline or similar industry
  • Customer Services (Oracle Customer Care & Billing for Distribution Customers; and any Transmission CIS solutions)
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management solutions (such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle CRM)
  • Regulatory Compliance solutions in the Pipeline industry
  • Environment Health and Safety solutions

Qualifications:

  • The resource will have a minimum 10 years of recent and practical IT experience, including several years working as part of an architecture team, and have a broad and solid understanding of architecture principles, solutions design, and IT trends. Ideally the resource will have:
  • Experience leading solution selection, design and implementation as part of a project team.
  • Experience as a solution architect on 3 or more projects from selection to implementation.
  • Practical experience communicating technical concepts to the business and project teams.
  • Experience working closely with business to solve technical and process problems.
  • Experience working in a utility or engineering industry.
  • TOGAF Certification.
  • North American job experience.
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
  • Certifications within the six (6) competency streams listed above

One of our utilities clients has an immediate need for an EnterpriseOne Advisor to join their IT Operations Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) team. This role will be located at their office in Regina Saskatchewan.

Current State

Our client’s EnterpriseOne Environment is currently 9.1 with Tools 9.1.5.5. Outside of the EnterpriseOne Technical Foundations, they utilize modules for Finance (G/L, A/P, A/R, JobCost, Fixed Assets), Purchasing, Sales, Inventory, and Plant and Equipment Maintenance with single sign on facilitated by Oracle Access Manager. The are currently working on an upgrade to move EnterpriseOne to version 9.2. Additionally, our client’s application environment also includes a mix of net new development, vendor supported packages as well as internally developed legacy systems. This environment consists of a comprehensive web environment utilizing the following technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, ASP, .Net. Their web hosting environment is Internet Information Services (IIS). Our development environments include .Net, Visual Basic 6, and PowerBuilder. Other technologies used include COM and SQL Server 2008 – 2016 as well as Oracle 12c. Their server environment consists of Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2 and 2016 in a virtualized (VMWare) environment, and AIX 7.1. Their client operating system is currently in transition from Windows 7 Enterprise Windows 10 Enterprise. The platforms they currently utilize include Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Office, SharePoint 2013, EnterpriseOne, ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, BizTalk 2013 and Oracle Access Manager (OAM).

Project Planner/Scheduler

We have a contract opportunity for a Planner/Scheduler for our electric utilities client located in Waltham, MA.  The initial contract period will run for one year with a possible extension

Duties Include:

  • Develop a detailed construction plan that involves planned outages (shutdowns), construction phases, construction steps, material, and equipment requirements, lay down areas, and overall time schedule
  • Review substation design drawings and provide comments to engineering.
  • Develop detailed construction sequence based on the design criteria and provide construction input to the design team in order to identify potential construction issues such as the need for temporary facilities.
  • Provide input to engineering in order to identify potential areas to implement safety by design.
  • Attend site meetings and participate with project team to evaluate different engineering solutions, construction strategies, and project delivery strategies in order to deliver the project safely and efficiently.
  • Understand collective bargaining agreements that could impact work plan delivery.
  • Develop work plans that are aligned with safety standards, policies and processes in order to ensure system reliability, safety, and efficiency is demonstrated
  • Review health and safety plans for each specific project, inclusive of Project Hazard Assessment (PHA) for high hazard work practices.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership during all site meetings and project discussions.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years’ relevant years experience in the electricity construction management environment with 3+ years in the utility management
  • Experience in substation construction with focus on construction methods, cost control, safety, environmental, quality and service, and performance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Safety and Environmental rules.
  • Ability to assess potential conflicts by reviewing construction drawings and provide solutions to the project team.
  • Must be able to work in a cross functional role
  • Analytical Thinking: Sees relationships between work plans, safety issues, constructability, and spend vs. efficiency reports identifying several likely causes or consequences of a situation.

Job Description:

  • Analyze change requests and implement into the baseline plan if approved.
  • Conduct routine schedule status updates.
  • Conduct routine cost/schedule analysis and reporting to ensure successful completion of project.
  • This may consist of baseline variance analysis, earned value analysis, float analysis, critical path impact, milestone reviews, trend analysis, invoice summary, look ahead indication, delinquency reports and narrative summaries.
  • Conduct construction site visits to verify status, as needed, for major projects.
  • Assist with developing project budgets and updating forecasts/cash flows on a monthly basis.
  • Verify/Approve Contractor invoices.
  • Ensure completion of purchase orders, receipts, contracts, service agreements and/or other business requirements relating to cost and schedule control.
  • Attend and participate in project status review meetings. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline (Business, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, etc.) from an accredited University required. MBA or advanced certification in Project Management, such as PMP or PMI-SP, is preferred.

Also looking for candidate with following:

  • 5+ years’ experience as Project Scheduler on utility projects
  • Intermediate knowledge of Transmission & Substation scheduling
  • Primavera P6 experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leading with the design, implementation, documentation, and troubleshooting of the enterprise server environment.
  • Helps prepare plans for development and installation of server and storage according to present and future requirements.
  • Provides expert technical support, administration, and engineering on Microsoft and VMware vSphere environments.
