JOB PURPOSE The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is requesting the services of a recognized quality expert from the DOE research and development complex. The individual will provide assistance to improve definition, deployment, and continual improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the PPPL quality programs. CORE DUTIES Targeted activities/duties will include: • Reviewing the PPPL quality assurance program description and supporting procedures, advise where improvements in effectiveness and efficiency may be realized • Assisting in the consolidation and “right-sizing” of quality program documentation, with an aim towards reducing the administrative burden of their implementation and management, without compromising program effectiveness • Evaluating organizational structures and charters and make recommendations where improvements in effectiveness or efficiency may be realized • Assisting in the development of training and briefing materials

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience Bachelors degree in a technical field is desirable. Selected candidates shall be a recognized expert, with a minimum of fifteen-years experience, as a prime contractor within the DOE R&D/Laboratory complex for development and implementation of quality management programs in accordance with DOE Order 414 (as well as consensus-based standards used private sector (e.g. ISO 9001). Demonstrated experience defining and overseeing QA programs in support of DOE 413 projects is highly desirable. PPPL is most interested in demonstrated experience and program success.
