Project Planner

The Project Planner will take a lead role in providing Project Management support at the project, program, division or corporate level and will be responsible for ensuring that their assigned projects/programs adhere to approved processes, tools and procedures.

Area where support will be provided include:

Estimating Services: In the estimating services role the individual will be providing support to the Projects Division and others in the preparation and qualification of Estimates, Risk Logs and Sanction Support Packages for various Investment Opportunities on behalf of Bruce Power. Preparation of these documents requires working with internal staff at all levels of the corporation and various external bodies such as contractors, supplier's etc, to arrive at the most advantageous approach.

Project Management Services: In the Project Management services role the individual will support the Project Manager in the successful implementation of projects, taking primary responsibility for all aspects of project management support. This will include the facilitation, development and maintenance of a project plan of appropriate design and detail to suit the individual projects needs and the needs of the Corporation.

At the Division/Corporate level the individual will develop, maintain, monitor and report on operational business plans, work program plans, resource/staffing plans and associated business improvement plans. The individual will also be required to support the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of various processes, guidelines, tools and self-improvement program initiatives to promote best in class performance.

Work Management: In support of the site work management processes the individual will ensure that all interface requirements with customer work management systems, such as the outage and 13 week processes, are met and no disruptions to project plans are experienced as a result of not meeting interface requirements

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Qualifications required

  • Knowledge and experience with P6 scheduling software, outlook, excel ect.
  • Knowledge and experience with Passport
  • Project Coordination experience

?Qualifications Preferred

  • Knowledge or experience with Preventative Maintenance programs
  • Experience with Maximo
  • Prior experience working at Bruce Power 

Project Engineer

Role: Jr. to Intermediate level Project Engineer 
Duration: 1 month +
Location: Port Elgin

Scope: Provide project support for the project manager on a center of site construction project. Task include creating weekly reports, supporting change orders, risk registers and action logs, reviewing rework requirements and documentation changes. 

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a mechanical engineering program with experience in the nuclear industry and/or HVAC systems.

Job Overview

  • Will be responsible for various elements of OPGs Emergency Preparedness Drills & Exercises program, including drill design, scenario design, drill management, drill evaluation, player/controller/evaluator assignments, and any other supporting tasks as required by the Drill & Exercise program.
  • Will report on Exercise design work to the Exercise Director
  • Will report on Drill design work to the Senior Manager, Emergency Preparedness and/or Section Manager, Drills & Exercises, as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years Drill & Exercise experience within the Nuclear Emergency Preparedness environment is required, including: Exercise management and planning, scenario design, stakeholder management, preparation of regulatory correspondence required by CNSC RegDoc
