Our Public Sector client is looking to improve warehouse productivity and improve availability of materials at central and distributed locations.

Project Goals:

Goal is to improve processes at central and satellite stores to have real time view of inventory. Optimize storage and processing times to receive, stock and process material requests.

The proposed solution will……

  • Optimize stocking locations at new warehouse that improve space utilization and processing times.
  • Real time picking, stocking, receiving and counting using bar coding device
  • Improve material availability of materials at satellite sites by incorporating cross docking at central store
  • Incorporate all warehouse processes through bar coding/mobile device
  • Working in conjunction with the Portfolio and Solution Delivery Manager, IFS Centre of Excellence, the developer is responsible for designing and developing solutions for our business partners.
  • Responsibilities of this position include liaising with the end-user, subject matter experts and business analyst to define business requirements, preparation of the functional specification documents, detailed design specifications, construction, unit testing, and system integration testing of a number of components for various processes either in production or under development.
  • These components include .Net applications (MVC), REST APIs, batch processes and BOE reports.
  • Developer will also provide technical support during the various phases of acceptance testing, preparation for production implementation, and post-implementation support including application trouble-shooting and performance tuning during the warranty period.
  • Developer will be involved in the development of technical documentation and end-user training for the components listed above.
  • Follow DevOps and Agile methodology.
  • Develop full stack technology solutions
  • Ability to work with Service Oriented architecture (REST APIs) and integration platforms.
  • This is a highly technical position requiring candidates with strong communication skills and current development skills.

  • Adherence to safety standards and having accurate record keeping skills are essential
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and perform service and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers
  • Completing work orders
  • Teaching and mentoring Apprentices at different levels by ensuring that they are properly trained on service and repairs

 

Your qualifications:

 

  • Certification of Qualification Journeyman 310T Truck and Coach Technician
  • Ideally at least 3 years of in-shop experience as a Journeyman
  • Excellent at troubleshooting
  • Understanding on Electrical systems
  • Proficient in English both reading and writing
  • Able to execute scheduled as planed, strong time management skills
  • Able to comply with Health & Safety and always maintain a safe work environment
  • Supportive and respectful of others; ability to coach and mentor Apprentices
  • Flexible to work Rotating Shifts (Monday to Friday, 2 weeks on Days and 2 weeks on Afternoons, or Straight Afternoons, 8-hr shifts)

Your tasks will include:

 

  • Cutting out damaged, rusted or corroded metals and fit, align and weld new sections into place using mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel
  • Fit and install various new or rebuilt components
  • Use MIG and TIG welding stations, drill presses, grinder and air extractor
  • Examine pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications

As our new 310T Mechanic, you will be challenge in performing repairs to bus and coaches that have sustained significant damage including electrical systems and wiring.  It will be your job to assess the damage, determine a plan of action, and go for it.  You can expect that some repairs will take months to complete. 

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Determine extent of repair and supplies required for burnt out coaches with electrical damage as well as other collision damage 
  • Work with other departments to complete the repairs and get the vehicle prepared to return to the customer
  • Mentor and direct employees that are assisting with the repairs
  • Comfortable working in small spaces, and sometimes at the same time with lots of people
  • During downtime, performing maintenance on shop equipment

 

 

Qualifications

  • Certification of Qualification as a Journeyman 310T Mechanic with minimum of 5 years of practical experience with knowledge of heavy duty vehicles (trucks and buses)
  • Experience working with electrical systems
  • Knowledge of Fleet Maintenance best practices
  • Experience completing MTO inspections and documenting deficiencies
  • Experience in electrical and electronics, reading schematics and understanding hybrid systems
  • Knowledge of relevant Government Legislation, Government Health and Safety Acts and Standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, excellent vision and manual dexterity
