Jr. Front End Developer 

 

Location: Toronto

Duration: 6+ months (Strong potential for extension and conversion)

Career Level: Junior Associate or Associate

 

Project Overview: Join a team of 4 other Frontend Developers working on content authoring and ad operations for major automotive brands. You will have the opportunity to learn on a fast-paced and engaging team. This position is considered a career stepping stone to move into email campaign and tech ops.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in campaign implementation and execution of campaigns in the digital media and marketing technology space using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Drive campaign efficiency pertaining to ad/tech operations and ongoing campaign monitoring
  • Responsible for populating drop-down and text fields with brand content for client that will go live on their site
  • Perform comprehensive QA on various types of 3rd party assets for upcoming campaign launches across multiple browsers/platforms (File Size, File Load, Expansion, Sound, Click-through/Landing Page Validation, back-end Error Check, Tracking Parameter Validation, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and debug modules to ensure content appears correctly

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant project or course work from university or 1 year of professional experience
  • Positive attitude and motivation to grow within the role
  • Detail-oriented with excellent spelling, grammar and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • React experience would be a benefit, but is not required
  • Experience with CMS platforms (AEM, WordPress, etc.)
  • AEM experience preferred
  • Comfortable working as a team, but also able to self-manage
  • Ability to balance multiple requests at a time
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to deliver projects with tight timelines
  • Comfortable working extended hours to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to learn on their feet and be proactive in taking on new projects rather than waiting for work to come to them
