Position: EPMO Standards Lead

  • Work with the EPMO staff to establish process standards and best practices for Enterprise Project Management (EPM) projects (typically over 700 Electric (Generation, Transmission/Distribution, and Renewables) and Natural Gas (Compression, Transmission/Distribution, and Storage) Projects totaling up to (USD)1B annually) covering the project lifecycle from project initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, control and closeout
  • Develop EPMO standards documentation for assigned areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with Document Lifecycle Management (DLM) standards
  • Interact with other business units, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Project Managers and Project Control teams to gather expertise for inclusion, adaption, and alignment of process and best practices with supporting organizations such as Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Corporate Departments.
  • Work with the supporting organizations to identify, research, analyze and resolve standards issues and provide guidance on EPMO standards.
  • Utilize industry best practices on project methodologies, technologies and EMPO effectiveness for continuous improvement.
  • Establish methods to assess project compliance with the EPMO process standards.


  • Significant complex project experience, preferably in energy utility or construction
  • Significant risk management and mitigation experience is necessary to recognize potential issues and recommend corrective actions for success
  • Experience with contracts and procurement management for projects
  • Ability to facilitate a mixed group of stakeholders to identify process requirements and drive to a consensus on process standards
  • Technical writing expertise for the development of a process, work instructions, job aids, and other related documentation
  • Ideally, 10+ years of related Project Management and/or Project Controls experience


  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent required
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent preferred
  • Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or equivalent preferred
  • Certified Cost Estimating Professional (CEP) or equivalent preferred

Certifications & Licenses:   

  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent preferred
  • PMP Preffered
  • Primavera P6 is an asset to have.



EPC Project Manager

 We are looking for an EPC Project Manager to join our client’s team in Bellevue, MI. They will lead a project team who will focus on projects centered planning, execution, and delivery of large projects for both low and high-voltage distribution, gas transmission and gas distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage medium-to-large sized projects of moderate-to high complexity
  • Ensure project results contribute positive business value
  • Meet agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives
  • Develop and maintain project plans that provide timely deliverables in order to achieve project objectives
  • Identify initial risks, issues and constraints impacting project execution
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas in the development of project tasks and deliverables ensuring the successful execution of projects
  • Manage multiple projects at various stages of development concurrently
  • Facilitate the flow of work during a project to ensure that it conforms to the project plan covering forecasting, scoping, planning, scheduling, execution and closeout
  • Ensure that team members understand their authority and responsibility regarding their portion of the project
  • Assume project communication lead role throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Perform presentations for the Consumers Energy leadership team
  • Assist in the development of performance metrics and track performance of the projects executed
  • Identify and recommend new processes, techniques and standards that drive performance and process management
  • Identify, prioritize and drive the implementation of process enhancements
  • Validate financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures


**This position will have HQ in Bellevue, Michigan. Projects in Lansing, Michigan.** 



  • Familiarity with electric or gas transmission or distribution infrastructure
  • Experience leading complex projects, with impacts to large energy customers, municipalities, or agencies
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and managing risk
  • Communicating and reporting project status to senior leadership
  • A Bachelor of Science in engineering/business from an accredited college or university
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.



Customer Energy Management Service Designer

We are looking for Customer Energy Management Service Designer on behalf of one of Michigan’s largest utilities provider. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. They will work closely with the organizations’ clients to ensure they receive the best care and efficient resolution to any issues. 

Duties Include:

  • Analyze and resolve a wide variety of work procedures (which may involve the engineering design, work order preparation, field checking, scheduling coordination, material provisioning and ordering, billing, redlining, preparation of “as-builts,” and work order reconciliation and closeout).
  • Interact with other internal departments to resolve customer issues, and communicate, negotiate and counsel on a variety of topics including payment options, complex technical information or procedures, energy rates, and explaining company policy in a variety of energy-related areas.
  • Interpret and analyze a wide variety of complex technical/scientific design projects, perform scheduling for multiple tasks or work coordination, and respond to customer inquiries including but not exclusive to new energy requests. These tasks involve the evaluation of alternative courses of action, recommending and coordinating the appropriate actions through the work process to meet customer energy needs.
  • Coordinate with employees in other departments and/or external agencies to meet any special requirements of the energy request orders.
  • Field site visits to take field notes and/or work meet customers on site.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Skills Required

  • Possess strong computer (Windows, Microsoft Office) and analytical skills
  • SAP & CAD experience
  • Have the ability to interact with internal and external clients to receive highly advanced information and data
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Exhibit exceptional problem solving skills.


Educational Requirements:

A two-year associate degree in the requisite scientific or technical field (48 scientific or technical credit hours as measured on a semester basis). Or, have completed two years of college course work (60 Credits) towards a Bachelor degree in a technical field.
