Our Client is one of the world's largest multinational Water Process & Treatment service companies.

We currently have an available contract assignment for Supplier Quality Specialist located in Oakville, Ontario.

The Supplier Engineer will support project requirements from proposal through startup as well as work with the Supplier Quality Manager to continuous improve supplier performance through the development of supplier quality management systems, sharing of best practices and through the improvement of supplier surveillance.  In addition, the Quality Engineer will work with Supply Chain Manager, Engineers, Buyers and the Supplier Quality Manager to develop low cost country suppliers.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of new and existing suppliers by improving their quality management systems to improve overall part and documentation quality
  • Audit current suppliers to evaluate risk by monitoring changes in management, key personnel, and process changes
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier and client sites
  • Perform inspections at client sites and work with clients to get equipment acceptance
  • Assist in the development of project specific Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and the continuous improvement of ITP templates
  • Monitor inspection plan for key project equipment
  • Manage inspection reports and client quality communication when non-conformities occur
  • Actively manage Return on Experience (REX) from quality inspection with Purchasing and Engineering teams
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (Quick Response Quality Control) involving engineering and other key departments for non-conformance issues.
  • Manage quality documentation submittals and approvals as required by project specifications
  • Identification and evaluation of new suppliers in the US and low cost countries
  • Assist in developing historically municipal suppliers into industrial suppliers (ability to support industrial documentation and quality requirements)
  • Assist in the improvement of supplier part inspections
  • Identification and documentation of supplier best practices
  • Assist with Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) program, monitor KPI’s
  • Actively support category specialists, category managers, and supply chain managers in category strategy development, supplier selection, and supply market research.
  • Support OMEGA training and auditing needs
  • Assist in the development of REXs and the continuous improvement of the quality management system


  • The person in this role must possess the following skills and abilities:
  • REQUIRED: Minimum 2-5 years of experience driving supplier qualification programs, supplier development and supplier quality problem solving Master in root cause analysis methods (QRQC, PDCA, FMEA, etc…).
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Required: NACE level I coating inspector, or willing to complete NACE certification following on-boarding.
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Track record of significant improvement in supplier component quality.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • ISO and other quality systems.
  • Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office products.

Electrical/Electronic Engineer

As an electrical engineer, you are accountable for all electrical aspects of engineering necessary to deliver custom water treatment systems to industrial or municipal customers.  You will work and collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers and designers from North America and India to ensure on time and on budget execution of the electrical engineering tasks on the project. 

As an electrical engineer, you represent the engineering organization in working with the Lead Engineer (LE) to manage and steer the project toward successful completion throughout all phases of the project including engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning/startup; while complying to company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Support Lead Engineer in discussions with customers. Resolve technical issues and provide input for change requests as needed. Responsible for change management and revision control for the project including communication of customer changes to the appropriate team disciplines and ensure such changes are considered throughout each stage of design, approval and construction.
  • Interact directly with the client and other internal/external stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver projects with highest quality. Interact directly with Client engineering resource support in India for all project execution tasks.
  • Review project specifications and incorporate requirements into Client design and equipment / procurement specifications.
  • Take ownership of the P&ID’s and the integration of the project across electrical engineering. Perform design and develop documents including Single Line Diagrams, IO Lists, Electrical Schematics, Loop diagrams, Logic diagrams, Panel Layout Diagrams, Shutdown Keys, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Indices, Setpoint Lists, DCS and PLC Design, Instrument Location and Installation Design.
  • Develop control system architecture for PLC and HMI systems and select appropriate hardware. Develop panel layouts. Develop the I&C portion of P&ID’s. Attend P&ID review and HAZOP meetings with internal teams and customers.
  • Develop Bill of Material and process through SAP. Interface with suppliers for preliminary costing, instrument component selection, and submittal document review. Interface with customers regarding I&C designs and submitted design documents.
  • Understand and assess project specific area classification requirements and apply correct solution.
  • Support commercial engineers, as well as to other engineers within the team to develop their technical and commercial expertise.
  • Support project execution through review of the control documents, engineering drawings, and manuals for projects. Support plant commissioning and performance testing. Document lesson learned from issues during commissioning and provide feedback to ICE Engineering team and PM.


With an expert level of understanding of system engineering including P&ID development, engineering deliverables and document control, you also need:

  • Experience with the following markets: municipal water and wastewater treatment, EPC projects, oil & gas, chemical, or power.
  • Strong aptitude for planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning and evaluating the work of subordinates coupled with clear, concise communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel 20% of the time within US and Canada.
  • Comfortable working in a multiple disciplinary team environment across different offices/geographical regions.
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, PE (P. Eng. In Canada) registered or working towards qualification.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in a process industry such as water treatment, food & beverage, chemicals, oil & gas, etc. specifically executing projects as a system integrator.
  • Extended technical knowledge in the field of hazardous location technologies, as well as industrial control systems.
  • Expertise with Low and Medium Voltage Power Distribution System design.
  • Experience with Electrical Heat Trace and Motor Control Center design an asset.
  • Experience with SAP an asset.

  • Regrind and shape end mills and drills as necessary to ensure they are properly sharpened and calibrated for use.

Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager and Master Scheduler to ensure the shop floor and production scheduling requirements are met to ensure that customer’s projects their and deadlines are being met.


  • Maintain and monitor project plans and schedules to ensure customer requirement are met.
  • Advises the Scheduler of pulled-in or pushed-out messages which are not in alignment to the customer sales order and level loaded production plan. 
  • Update and maintain the customer’s database with regard to scheduling and system transactions.
  • Building recovery plans for altered customer schedules as required.
  • Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings with Program Managers and customers. 
  • Communicate to the customer on a regular basis to provide status updates.
  • Involved in the non-conformance resolution process by work working with the engineering and quality departments to gather information on scrap or release rework operations. 
  • Monitors the status of assigned work orders and documentation with department heads to determine progress of work and completion dates. 
  • Organize, attend and participate in customer meetings.
  • Support production control and purchasing as it relates to assigned customer schedules as required. 
  • Generates history files and dockets as required.

Production Planner

A precision manufacturer of nuclear components is seeking a production planner to join their team. Specifically we are searching for Individuals who have a passion for their work, who strive to create an outstanding customer experience and who work well under tight deadlines. The Production Planner is responsible for expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily, weekly and monthly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels, and solving production problems.


  • Review, action and release production work orders (MCS) per schedule
  • Responsible to align and forecast the load and capacity needs.
  • Review, release, action, analyze and maintain the line of balance production schedule for each part number you own, expediting production orders (MCS) per your schedule
  • Monitors the status of assigned work orders with department supervisor to determine progress of work and completion dates.  Alters schedules accordingly to build recovery plans. 
  • Liase with production, quality and engineering to recommend improvements to the released MCS as well as ensuring configuration control of released documents through the implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s)
  • Lead and drive resolution of non-conformances (NCR’s) through engineering and quality to either scrap or release rework operations, allowing production to commence again. 
  • Maintains routing and bill of material issues to released work orders, flagging engineering through change requests to update the standard router.
  • Maintains the integrity of the MRP system with regard to system transactions
  • Update and generate weekly production and efficiency key performance metrics. 
  • Liase with Quality and the customer’s inspectors in advance to ensure verify, witness, and hold points are managed and production flow is not impaired.
  • Lead the inventory weekly, monthly counts and manage the correct batch sizing to reduce safety or obsolete stock. 


  • Diploma in Production Management or Inventory Management. (APICS certification preferred)

CNC Programmer

As a team member, you are responsible for creating outstanding value for nuclear customers, by producing quality products under tight deadlines

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • To select tools and design fixtures to support the creation and modification of CNC programs using Mastercam for a variety of machine tool configurations including 5 axis and 3 + 2 axis milling machines.
  • Create comprehensive tool path controls for our requirements.
  • Develop detailed work instructions including Solidworks CAD drawings, Inspection Test Procedures (ITPs), and Material Control Sheets to lead the process to manufacture and assemble these complex precision-machined components.
  • Interface with manufacturing, quality engineering and production supervision to ensure that all manufacturing processes are proven prior to the start of production.
  • Work with the CNC Machinists in completing the part setup sheets to lock in the setup. 
  • Work with the manufacturing engineers, and Machinists to perform time studies, Lean 5S events to highlight the waste (inefficiency, rework, improper tool setup) and develop solutions before implementing.
  • Develop and launch the process/engineering change request process.
  • Design component jigs, fixtures and test rigs.
  • Review project budgets and provide cost and timing estimates to project managers.


  • Demonstrated mastery of Mastercam programming for 5 and 2+3 axis machines.
  • Have a minimum of three to five years of experience in a similar programming role.
  • Knowledge of Mastercam will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of ASME Code, ISO 9001, CSA N285.0 and Z299 quality programs is an asset.
  • Experience with manufacturing precision-machined components and related processes including heat treatment, plating, assembly and testing activities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
