What you will be doing…

• Collect, analyze and interpret internal/external data from multiple sources for materials to inform decision making

MCR Outage Manager (MOM)

Turnover:

When preparing and giving turnover, it is important to focus on the activities that the incoming MOM will need to carry out in order to ensure that actions remain on track. While the general inclination is to talk about what was accomplished during the previous shift, this should be kept brief; as what is relevant to the incoming MOM will be the next steps that they need to follow to ensure the work from the previous shift stays on track.

What you will be doing…

 

       •   Collaborate with Functional Change Specialists, and Business Unit Change Consultants to conduct the training needs analysis and define training needs in stakeholder groups

       •   Work to understand and leverage existing training structures, establishes a strong partnership with existing learning teams (ideal if a member of existing learning teams).

       •   Work with OCM counterparts and Project Functional Technical team to design curriculum for cross-functional training and Function specific training.

       •   Support training development within the Function and work with Training Team and Logistics Coordinator to support training delivery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

       •   *** Candidate must have knowledge and/or experience with designing and developing Oracle systems (ERP) training, particularly in the Finance area ***

       •   A minimum of five years’ experience in training needs analysis, designing, developing and evaluating curriculum, learning activities and resources for WBT/CBT, instructor-led classroom training and on-the-job practice activities

       •   A minimum of two years’ experience in delivering training, both in a classroom setting and virtually

Construction Manager

 

The purpose of this role is to manage the execution of an existing construction project plan.

Qualifications

·      A 4-year university degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).

·      6+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years of that experience in nuclear power, with responsibility for construction of complex safety systems.

·      Experience delivering Construction Management services for major capital construction program/projects within the expected scope, quality, schedule, and budget. Experience must span the entire program or project lifecycle.

What you will be doing…

 

       •   Track LP and Gas dig package changes, update the files and ensure information is supplied to the Sr. Analyst and Supervisor.

Outbound Call Representative (North Bay, ON)

There is an anticipated need for articulate Outbound Call Representatives with fluency in English. It involves lots of calling, diligent tracking of information, and some good old-fashioned detective work.

Specifically, you will: 

  • Receive an unstandardized list of people to be contacted, with varying levels of information
  • Contact each of those people, persisting until you reach them

Our Oil and gas client in North York, ON is seeking a Sr. Analyst (Transit planning) to join their growing team, on a 1 year assignment beginning immediately.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for planning development and delivery to plan including the analysis, design, technical specifications and pick lines for Transit Relocation capital portfolio.

Represent EGI and the Capital Development and Delivery Department at other stakeholder meetings, such as other utilities or agencies to negotiate the Company’s position on various planning issues or projects such as relocations.

MUST HAVE qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with solid experience in cloud server/facility management and operations in our clients office and data centre.   • Provide management and project mangers with regular project reports such as level one summaries, and participate in regular process progress meetings.

The Project Manager is accountable for leading and delivering large-scale capital projects from

development to closeout and effectively balancing the competing demands of quality, scope, time, and

years. The position is directly accountable to and works under the direction of the Sr. Program Manager

Cost Controller

The Opportunity: 

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Cost Control Specialist will have the responsibility for leading the cost control and financial control support of all Capital Projects with the North Atlantic Surface Projects and Studies Group. The primary role of this position is to initially prepare cost forecasts, track/monitor all costs associated with the Surface Projects and Studies.

Accountabilities:

The Opportunity: 

 

The Contract Specialist is responsible for the financial and contractual management of the Project’s critical contracts, namely the larger and more complex professional services, procurement and trade contract agreements. The Contract Specialist works closely with the engineering and construction management teams in the day to day management of service providers, vendors and contractors. The Contract Specialist is also responsible for monitoring and documenting contractual performance of the agreements ensuring strict observance of terms and conditions, including those relating to the monthly measurement of services, associated indicators, fulfillment of deadlines, and cost commitments.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Communicate with appropriate departments and areas to ensure availability of current practices on budgeting, estimating, scheduling, etc.
  • Participate in programs to dispose of surplus equipment which become available, consequent to cancelled construction projects, such as unused turbines, generators and the like.
  • Meet with potential buyers and attempt to influence same to accept such equipment in lieu of other purchases.
  • Maintain an awareness of technological advancements in engineering and construction fields.
  • Review technical publications and other literature.
  • Communicate with engineering counterparts internally and externally to discuss views on improved designs, products, methods and techniques.
  • On a periodic basis, where dictated by circumstance, be responsible for the supervision of engineers and technicians. Recommend to Supervisor the assignment of engineers or technicians. Assemble job information and plan work as necessary.
  • Assign portions of the work, and provide advice and direction as required. Check and assume responsibility for the work issued.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Requires a knowledge of engineering as related to design requirements for proposed major facilities and components.
  • Requires a knowledge of physics, engineering, mathematics and chemistry as related to stress, materials and total system performance.
  • Requires a knowledge of economics to provide cost estimates and cost trends concerning generating station construction and operation.
  • Familiarity with OPG's Engineering/Procurement/Construction contract model is an asset.
  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the successful completion of a four year university education in an appropriate engineering field or by having the equivalent level of education.
  • Requires experience in planning and development aspects of electrical power plants to become familiar with generating station design and associated components.
  • Requires experience in a generalized but related industry to appreciate manufacturing and supply techniques. Requires experience to solve problems, provide guidance and initiate studies, designs and economic forecasts.
  • Requires experience to understand the interrelationship(s) of various internal and external groups in order to facilitate objectives.
  • Requires experience and knowledge related to environmental protection and associated concerns. Requires experience in project management.

Experience in the following would be an asset:

  • OH180 & ABB controllers, Mechanical & Process systems, & Multi-discipline installations
  • Design and/or Construction of Water Treatment Plants and large diameter Piping installations in brownfield setting (including buried piping)
  • Implementation of Station Cranes , Elevators

Production Supervisor

 

Our Toronto plastics manufacturing facility is seeking a production supervisor to join their team. This position has 12 hour shifts rotating every two weeks between day and night shift. The company employs about 120 individuals and offers a comprehensive benefit package.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day general administration of the operations. (includes personnel, production rates, job changes, reliability)
  • Input to plant manager on supply and production optimization, control and use of raw material and inventory management
  • Recommendations to plant manager, work methods and procedures for section: technical assistance to lead hand in correct application of methods/procedures and efficient use of equipment
  • Responsible for the safe, continuous and efficient operation of production unit.
  • On-going coordination as necessary with other sectors in the department
  • Daily coordination, prioritization and monitoring of maintenance repairs, and authorization of work orders.
  • Plan all shutdowns on equipment with Maintenance.
  • Continuous improvement by requesting studies and projects to improve production (i.e. Product quality, production rates, reliability, cost effectiveness). Coordination of this effort with engineering manager
  • Input to and implementation of plant safety objectives
  • Operator training program
  • Input, preparation and update of shift work schedules including replacements as required
  • Evaluate his personnel on a periodic basis
  • Administer company  policies, address poor employee work attitudes and practices
  • Insure that all P.M programs are adequate for meeting equipment reliability needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role
  • 3+ years of technical experience (plastics industry experience preferred)
