Test Engineer – Developer Tools

The primary responsibility of the Test Engineer (Developer Tools) – Contractor is to verify and validate the quality of the Software Development Kits and associated tools. The Test Engineer (Developer Tools) – Contractor will focus on converting applicable manual test cases to an automated system as well as performing exploratory and regression related testing by creating relevant simple applications to test specific functions utilizing the supported game engines. Qualified candidates need to be self-starters and able to operate in a highly dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work hand-in-hand with product teams
  • Support overall engineering and architecture effort of the software group
  • Write elegant, maintainable, reusable code, leveraging test-driven principles to develop high-quality test scripts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues
  • Build and maintain test apps to continually prove the effectiveness of the SDKs

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proficient experience working on software products
  • Proficient with Python scripting
  • Working knowledge of C++ in a production environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Experience with test planning, automated testing, and reporting
  • Experience with mobile software development
  • Experience with developer tools and/or game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
  • Experience working in Agile environment

Education:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Technical Sound Designer

We have an immediate opening for a Technical Sound Designer on a 6+ month assignment extension beyond, in Plantation, FL, USA.

A Technical Sound Designer at client contributes to both Mixed Reality experiences in current production and conducts R&D on behalf of advanced concepts. Your work forms the connective tissue between the creative and technical arts. You will work with both a small team dedicated to developing innovative audio tools and workflows for a cutting edge Mixed Reality platform and with cross-disciplinary teams supporting the integration of music, sound design, dialogue and audio behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experience integrating audio in game engines (Unity/Unreal)
  • Highly proficient in Wwise, and familiar with other middleware solutions
  • Substantial knowledge of scripting for game engines and audio middleware (Familiarity with C#, C++)
  • Background in Audio Engineering (Recording, Mixing, Mastering)
  • Conduct field and studio recordings; produce, edit, mix and integrate sound effects.
  • Mastery of current pro audio tools (digital audio workstations, microphones, outboard gear)
  • Passion for developing best practices and innovative audio integration techniques for interactive games and Mixed Reality Experiences
  • Ability to provide and accept critical feedback in a professional manner
