MSP Account Manager

MSP Account Manager

Ian Martin PBC

Houston, Texas

You’re an experienced account manager yearning for more than the recruitment agency grind.

You’re naturally analytical and strategic, able to see and understand business needs and opportunities. You do your homework to understand the industry, its trends, and opportunities.

You’re also a natural relationship builder, able to win credibility with everyone from executives to functional leaders to knowledgeable front-line people. People trust your collaborative approach to bringing benefit to them and their business.

You’re good at what you do, and now you’re longing to work somewhere with an inspiring mission and a genuinely supportive culture. Someplace that really values your work, empowers you to take responsibility, and is full of challenge and fun.

If this sounds like you, we’re the Ian Martin Group and we can’t wait to meet you!

At the Ian Martin Group, we're all about connecting people in meaningful work.

It’s the mission that guides us and today we’re looking for a contract staffing account manager who shares our passion to join our team.

Could you be that person?

Your goal in this position is to guide operational practice, foster strong relationships, and grow billing headcount with MSP partners in technical industries such as engineering, manufacturing, power, mining, and automotive.

You’ll visit customers and contractors, deepening relationships and understanding of the business. That will allow you to uncover and close opportunities for new and expanded business.

You’ll be supported by a team of experienced technical recruiters in the US and India, as well as a close-knit and experienced operational and business development team.

You know you’ll succeed in a role like this if you are a consultative cross-seller, not someone who passively services accounts.

If that sounds like you, Ian Martin Group offers you meaningful work, autonomy to succeed in the way that’s best for you, the chance to grow personally and professionally in a supportive environment, and all within a legendary culture.

Work at a Different Kind of Company

The Ian Martin Group is also a certified B Corp (ever heard of that?). B stands for benefit, which means that our purpose goes beyond profits as we operate to benefit all our stakeholders and meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

One of the advantages of working here is a high degree of autonomy. We use a practice called The Decision Maker that empowers coworkers across the organization to take responsibility for changes they want to see in the organization.

We’re also notorious fun lovers – community volunteering, baseball tournaments, indoor skydiving, lake cruises, and lots of birthday cakes – we’ve done it all. But at the end of the day, the quality of our culture comes from our commitment to our purpose, our stakeholders, and each other.

The Practical Stuff

This is a full time, permanent gig with a base salary, team-based incentives, benefit coverage, and plenty of room for growth.

Our Houston office is small and reflects the start-up stage we are in with our US business.  We are supported by our head office in Oakville, Ontario, Canada and many of our branch locations across North America.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an account manager in the contract staffing industry; MSP account management is a huge plus
  • Strong record of success identifying, qualifying, and closing a high volume of technical contract work assignments
  • Any specialized knowledge of or experience with technical industries such as engineering, manufacturing, power, oil & gas exploration, production and distribution, or advanced consumer technology
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
