Our Banking Client in Toronto, ON is looking to hire a Process Engineer Consultant for a 5+ months of contract role with high possibility of extension.
As a Process Engineer Consultant is responsible to Support for a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Enhancement Project
Daily Job Duties/Activities:
Responsible for leading a process engineering work package that delivers a lean future state TPRM process that significantly improves Business Partner and Risk Stakeholder experiences · Collaborate with other members of the Procurement Process Engineering team to ensure alignment and integration with processes being developed for Source to Contract and Procure to Pay as part of Procurement Transformation
Process Engineering – Lead and deliver the process engineering work package for the TPRM project: define current pain points/bottleneck/opportunities, document current state process map, determine future state process map, and complete Gap, FMEA, and cycle time analyses. Ensure that the future state process achieves an optimized balance between people, process, technology, costs, and user satisfaction. Ensure alignment and integration of TPRM processes with future state processes being created as part of Procurement Transformation. Support for teams documenting procedures and providing training
Project & Time Management – Determine priorities and objectives through consultation with the TPRM project team and Procurement Process Engineering team. Lead the creation of a project plan for PE deliverables to ensure that they are delivered in a cadence that aligns with project milestones. Ensure that time is used very carefully & effectively with various third-party risk stakeholders, ensuring that they are not providing information that was collected previously by an external consultant
Collaboration – Work collaboratively with Risk Stakeholders, Procurement, and other Stakeholders leveraging their resources to gather information by leading process observations, time studies, and process mapping activities. Work closely with various internal partner groups at the Senior Management/Director/Executive levels to promote acceptance and implementation of new or revised processes and services and manage resistance to change.
Leadership – Plan, prioritize, and manage own as well as team’s workload in order to deliver results and adjust approach based on changing business priorities. Provide leadership, coaching, etc. on routine and non-routine issues for more junior members
7 – 10 years of experience in process improvement/transformation resulting in efficiencies
· University degree in Business or Engineering (preferably Industrial, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering)
·Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and MS Visio skills
· Well versed in swim lane mapping · Experience with cycle time study
NICE TO HAVE:
- Lean Six Sigma experience; Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt · Cost savings, cost avoidance, improved customer or client satisfaction with the new process
- FI experience
- Coupa experience
- Familiarity with MetricStream
- Lean Kaizen facilitation experience
- Experience/ knowledge of value stream maps
- Experience with time study Soft Skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and have the proven ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Sound presentation skills · Ability to work within tight timelines; works well under pressure · Able to relate and work collaboratively with various stakeholders
