Ideally, you will bring solid experience in project management within the nuclear industry, power energy, hydro or oil & gas operations environment. You are an enthusiastic, innovative, and flexible individual, who brings a blend of knowledge and expertise in project management methods and processes to execute medium-risk projects of existing technology and methods.

The Raise has partnered with our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organization operating within the nuclear industry. Committed to excellence and innovation, they are seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to join their team.

 

 

What you will be doing:

 

As the new Senior Project Manager, you will report directly to the Operation Manager and provide project leadership for major commercial design, construction, expansion, extension, renovation, supply, or component replacement projects.

 

Practically speaking, you will be:

 

·       Preparing project plans, schedules, and materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost, and timing objectives

·       Utilizing approved project management methods and processes to execute medium-risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations

·       Serving as the primary interface between the project team, management, and the client

·       Developing assignments, timetables, and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project

·       Coordinating multiple project activities, including organizing and directing personnel, materials, and equipment

·       Utilizing team-building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance

·       Defining and forecasting needed skills to meet project objectives

·       Managing cash flow and ensuring attainment of expected cash position

·       Managing revenue and cost declarations

 

The details:

·       This is a permanent full-time management position based in Pickering, Ontario, requiring office presence. The client offers a competitive salary and a flexible hybrid work schedule. ·       The client is open to considering contractors for this role as well.

·       Relocation support could be discussed for a qualified candidate.

 

What you will bring:

·       Senior Project Management experience in the nuclear industry (preferable) or power energy, hydro or oil & gas operations environment

·       Experience or qualifications in either engineering, business, or construction trades

·       Experience working with CANDU technology

·       Solid understanding of CANDU systems and functionality

·       Preferred but not mandatory experience at Ontario Power Generation (OPG)
