Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Oracle EBS manager for their Kanata, Ontario head office, to oversee the IT functional aspects of our ERP, supporting the business across Canada. 
Reporting to the Senior IT Manager for the Nuclear Power Group, you will be in charge of a team of developers, functional analyst, and DBA.  You will manage the company’s ERP systems in support of the finance, order management, inventory, manufacturing, transportation and human resource functions. The position is intended to be a “working manager” role, involving significant Oracle EBS technical and functional activities in addition to leadership of the support team.

  • The team’s focus is on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and related technology research and development. Areas of interest include transportation surveillance video analysis with Deep Learning (DL), traffic data analysis by AI, and traffic management and control by AI.

Electrical Engineer

This position is responsible for the owners overview of the electrical and instrument systems to ensure the correct systems are designed and specified during engineering, installed during construction and used and maintained during operation.

  • Design component jigs, fixtures and test rigs;
  • Responsible to disposition non-conformances and create rework instructions to release non-conforming parts back into production
  • Prepare capital expenditure’s for purchasing new equipment, processes
  • Complete other assignments as required. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering;
  • Have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of ASME Code, ISO 9001, CSA N285.0 and Z299 quality programs is an asset;
  • Expert in the use of 3D solid modeling software; Solidworks is preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing precision-machined components and related processes including heat treatment, plating, assembly and testing activities;

A specialized "job shop" that is a leading supplier of precision-machined components to the Canadian nuclear industry is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer

As a team member, you create outstanding value for our nuclear customers, by producing quality products under tight deadlines. You will be specializing in the manufacture of fuel channel and feeder components, tooling and fueling machine spares.

Responsibilities and Accountability:

  • Develop detailed work instructions including CAD drawings, Inspection Test Procedures (ITPs), and Manufacturing Control Sheets(MCS) to lead the process to manufacture and assemble these complex precision-machined components
  • Interface with Machinists, Programmers, and Quality Control Engineers to ensure that all manufacturing processes are proven prior to the start of production;

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with internal clients to design, implement and test end-point management systems across the institution. 
  • Ensure that end-user computing environments are secure, robust and provide optimal value

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree program in Computer Science or other relevant technical degree and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in a large Microsoft Server and Desktop environment managing 1000+ PCs.
  • Experience as a technical lead with imaging and deployment of Windows and Apple operating systems, including current O/S versions, in large managed enterprise environments
  • Minimum 5 years work experience with Windows authentication, permissions, and privilege management using Microsoft Active Directory permissions and Group Policy, File & Print Servers, and PowerShell Scripting in a large enterprise environment (3000+ users).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft server 2016 and MAC Sierra OS
  • Minimum 5 years work and troubleshooting experience of Microsoft security protocols and networking (VPN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLAN, LAN and WAN)

Piping Design Engineer

Mechanical Piping Designer – Permanent Position

Essential Responsibilities:

You will work on technically challenging projects as a member of the Fuel Handling and Engineering Solutions, Pressure Boundary and Analysis Engineering team. You will be responsible for the design of mechanical equipment and systems for CANDU reactors.

Projects will involve you in the design, development and test of mechanical equipment for automated and semi-automated fueling machines, robotic systems, and maintenance tooling for CANDU reactors and related systems.There is also opportunity to work on site assignment at one of the nuclear power plants in Ontario.

  • Provide execution of design and analysis of complex CANDU piping systems from concept to issue of final engineering documents.
  • Performing piping stress analysis calculations, over-pressure protection calculations and reports, pipe support load capacity data sheets, etc. Traditional methods of the analysis as well as the use of associated software packages would be included.
  • Maintain knowledge of stress analysis techniques and applications and provide consultation to design engineers as required.
  • Preparation or approval of design documentation, design reports, analysis reports, technical specifications, applicable codes & standards, development and test plans, and engineering quotations requests. Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers as required.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and applicable standards.
  • Adhere to on-time/on-budget criteria associated with project commitments and customer success.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor or Masters of engineering degree in Mechanical with specialization in piping system design and analysis techniques.  Finite element analysis experience of piping systems or pipe support structures is required using one or more of the following software platforms:  AutoPIPE, Caesar II, DST PEPS or ANSYS Workbench.

  • Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • Knowledge in the application of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section III and VIII), ASME B31.1, B31.3, CSA N285.0, CSA B51. 
  • Experience with creation of nuclear piping system design specifications and design reports in accordance with ASME NCA-3250 and NB/NC/ND-3600 respectively.
  • Experience with creation of nuclear piping over-pressure protection reports in accordance with ASME NB/NC/ND-7000.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the practice of engineering and piping system design or analysis.
  • Strong preference given to experience related to CANDU nuclear heavy water systems or safety systems:  Primary Heat Transport, Moderator Auxiliary Systems, Fueling Machine Auxiliaries, Purification, Leak Collection, Shutdown and Maintenance Cooling, ECI, etc.
  • Consideration given to experience related conventional CANDU light water systems: LP Service Water, HP Service Water, etc.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and jurisdictional processes for pressure boundary items (TSSA, CNSC).
  • Competence in mechanical equipment design and design processes.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, outstanding analytical abilities, demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work in a team.
